Frozen Ground<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start the show off talking about\u00a0how new research suggests that, around 7,000 years ago, Earth was blasted with a period of solar activity so extreme, that traces of the event can still be seen in the carbon signature of tree rings today.\u00a0<\/span>This mysterious ‘solar event’ has been dated back to 5480 BC, and although it’s unclear exactly what caused it, researchers say it involved an unprecedented shift in the Sun’s magnetic activity. As far as they’re aware, nothing like it has happened since in human history.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then, a strange story about a raven haired woman that appears to all the men in one particular family throughout the years is talked about and\u00a0a man tells about an unusual blimp shaped UFO he witnessed over his home back in 2001 near Thornhill, Ontario, Canada. The witness noticed it while in his backyard grilling when he thought was a giant blimp crashing in the field behind his house. Shortly after his sighting he heard several military jets in the area. Then, a strange shape shifting UFO is spotted in Idaho Falls, Idaho.<\/p>\n

After the break Kyle brings up the terrifying tale of serial killer Robert Hansen.\u00a0Robert (Bob the Baker) Hansen raped, tortured and murdered a young woman every six months or so from the early 1970s until he was stopped by arrest in 1983.\u00a0Like a brigade of other serial killers, he found his victims among women who worked in the sex trades.\u00a0In the \u201970s, scores of young women were drawn to Anchorage from the Lower 48 by the thousands of workmen with bulging wallets who were building the Trans-Alaska Pipeline and its parallel road, the Dalton Highway.\u00a0Hansen plucked his prey at strip clubs like the Wild Cherry or along the curbs of Fourth Ave., then the city\u2019s Tenderloin. He would then abduct the young women, fly them by bush plane up to his private and remote cabin in the woods. There he would rape them, torture them and finally set them free only to go and hunt them down. Where he would eventually kill them.\u00a0He said he raped some 30 women and murdered as many as 21.He led police to 17 remote gravesites, where they tallied a dozen bodies.\u00a0Hansen was charged with four murders where the evidence against him was strongest. He pleaded guilty in 1984 and was sentenced to 461 years in prison. (Alaska has no death penalty.) He survived 30 years behind bars. He died on Aug. 21, likely of natural causes, at age 75.<\/p>\n
