Voice in the Fields<\/strong><\/a><\/h3>\n

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start the show off talking about how recently a small island in the south pacific\u00a0saw the completion of a new solar-powered\u00a0microgrid<\/a>, which shifted the entire island\u2019s energy generation from 100 percent diesel fuel to 100 percent solar. (The island’s population varies with the season but usually falls between 200 and 600 people.)\u00a0The solar project was\u00a0installed by SolarCity<\/a>, a California-based company recently purchased by Elon Musk\u2019s Tesla. The $8 million project was funded by the U.S. Department of Interior and the American Samoa Power Authority (ASPA).<\/p>\n

Next, the guys talk about how\u00a0scientists have just made another sensational discovery as they\u2019ve found\u2014for the first time ever\u2014functional mechanical gears in nature. Once again, nature seems to be the first to have achieved a basic technology. This discovery proves that GEAR MECHANISMS\u2014which were previously thought to be only man-made\u2014 have an evolutionary natural precedent. Then, a\u00a0man in central Arizona submitted the images on Monday of what he believes could be the carcass of a \u201cChupacabras\u201d.\u00a0<\/span>Christopher J. Kubash, a 31-year-old seasonal resort employee, told Cryptozoology News that he was hiking in the Arizona wilderness when he came upon the body inside a cave last Friday. Was it the legendary Chupacabra<\/em>?<\/p>\n

Then,\u00a0the idea that a bit of gross mold would be worth $14,617 seems absurd until you realize it may be the most important mold to that was ever grown.\u00a0<\/span>Bonhams<\/span><\/a> auctioned off<\/span><\/a> the mold that belonged to Dr. Alexander Fleming earlier today, along with a handwritten inscription from Fleming himself that describes it as \u201cthe mould that first made penicillin.\u201d The buyer who was willing to pay such exorbitant amounts for a piece of science history did not wish to be identified. After the break Kyle brings up some strange sightings and encounters from various sources.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
