On the is episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start off by talking about a\u00a0Belgium-based Egyptologist has discovered the oldest depictions of ancient Egyptian demons, showing that demonic entities populated the ancient Egyptians\u2019 imaginations as far back as 4,000 years ago. Next, an Arizona witness at an airport in the Tempe-Phoenix area reported watching a chevron-shaped UFO under 500 feet.\u00a0Then,\u00a0Albert Bender just recently died on March 29, 2016 and the ripe old age of 94. Albert Bender was one of the first reported people to have a run in the infamous Men In Black, <\/em>but not the last. An audio clip of comedian Dan Aykroyd talking about his M.I.B. encounter in New York City back in 2002 is played. Then,\u00a0<\/span>childhood adversity is thought by most experts to be bad for cognitive development: for instance, people who grow up in stressful environments tend to score lower on tests of memory and IQ. They also perform worse on tests of impulse inhibition, which in turn predicts success and competence in later life.\u00a0Now a new study suggests that the picture of how unreliable environments affect cognition is not purely one of harm. Wondering whether there might actually be benefits, psychologist Chiraag Mittal and his colleagues at the University of Minnesota ran a series of experiments in which they measured both inhibition and task switching.
