On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys talk about\u00a0Antarctica is home to one of the most unique natural ecosystems in the world: subglacial lakes, which are massive pockets of warm, fresh water that are sealed in ice. They exist beneath the continent’s many, massive glaciers. <\/span>The largest is<\/span> Lake Vostok<\/span>, which scientists say is over 4,800 square miles of water, and could contain life forms never before seen by humans. <\/span>Researchers said last week<\/span> that they may have just discovered another such lake, almost as vast as Vostok. Then,\u00a0A woman in southern Vancouver claims she was abducted by a \u201cNordic-type alien\u201d and that he experimented on her. Then,\u00a0<\/span>Carbon dioxide emissions from industrial society have driven a huge growth in trees and other plants.\u00a0<\/span>A new study says that if the extra green leaves prompted by rising CO2 levels were laid in a carpet, it would cover twice the continental USA.\u00a0Climate sceptics argue the findings show that the extra CO2 is actually benefiting the planet.
