In Search of the Chupacabra<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start off talking about how infantry combat is loud, and gunshots are an occupational hazard\u00a0of being a soldier. A single gunshot can temporarily blow out a soldier’s hearing, reducing situational awareness and the ability to overhear commands. Prolonged gunshot noise exposure over a soldier’s career can do irreparable harm to hearing.\u00a0Which is why the U.S. Army has developed an all-in-one hearing system that not only boosts the hearing of troops in the field, it also acts to cut down the noise of battle. The system, known as Tactical Communication and Protective System (TCAPS), is currently\u00a0rolling out to units in the field. Then, a\u00a0new find hints that the short-statured hominins could have been living in Indonesia over a half a million years earlier than previous estimates. Then, with the recent loss of boxing champion Muhammad Ali, his numerous achievements, as well as his broader influences on society, have been brought to the forefront of public consciousness.\u00a0In addition to being arguably the most visible sports icon of the 20th century, Ali\u2019s legacy included his outspoken and often polarizing political views, as well as his religion, his personal life, and even his love for magic and card tricks.\u00a0What was less well-known was the fact that Ali had also held a long fascination with UFOs, having reportedly seen them himself on several occasions, and often\u00a0in the company of other witnesses. Then, two North Carolina men on Sunday said that they came upon two Bigfoot-like creatures in Guilford County.
