How Do I Subscribe to Your Show?
Subscribing is easy. See the FAQ entry on ways to listen and start with whatever your preferred application is for listening. All of those applications support subscription.
iTunes is one of the easiest. On a desktop/laptop, here’s what you do:
1) Launch iTunes
2) Go to the iTunes Store
3) Search for Expanded Perspectives
4) Select that large icon/logo for Expanded Perspectives at the bottom of the listed shows
5) On the next screen, select Subscribe
Once you have done this, if you are using one of the more recent versions of iTunes, our show will appear in the Podcasts section of your library. This can be confusing because Apple has folded the store and the iTunes application all into a one stop place now so it’s important to understand that you don’t have separate apps for that anymore. If you don’t have a music library or use iTunes for music, you should still see a My Podcasts heading at the top of the iTunes screen, just left of the center, along with My Stations, Playlists and the iTunes Store. Once you are subscribed, when you select My Podcasts, you will see our show, along with any other shows you’ve chosen to subscribe to.
If you’re on an iOS device, you still find and subscribe to us via iTunes, and then to listen to our show, look for the Podcasts app. It is a separate app in iOS.
If you are using Stitcher, you’ll need to set up an account, log in and then simply search for Expanded Perspectives. Once you find it, you will create stations within Stitcher, that are like your own personally curated radio stations. Then you select Expanded Perspectives and click add to station playlist on the icon and it will become a part of the station you choose.
If you are using TuneIn, you can actually listen to us there without even logging in. However if you want to save or subscribe to our show from within TuneIn, you’ll need to create an account. Once you do that, you can follow us there and you will always have access to new shows.

Using your Username and Password Login. If you are using a desktop we recommend using FireFox or Safari as your browser. Once logged in click on the tab that says RSS Feed. This will bring up all of the episodes. If you wish to add this to iTunes just go to the top of the page and copy your unique URL. iPhone/iPad
Here are the steps you need to perform in order to listen to Expanded Perspectives Elite!
- Using your iPhone go to your Safari app and search up the shows website.
- Then scroll down and find the Elite tab and select it.
- Login using your login credentials. After passing a test to make sure you are not a bot you should see a welcome screen.
- Scroll down and select the tab that says RSS feed. NOW HERE IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART! Don’t just select the tab that says RSS feed. As light as humanly possible just let your finger ever so slightly touch the screen over the tab that says RSS feed for a second or two. If done wrong your phone will say “Open this page in News”. If done correctly your phone will give you a few options like Open, Open in New Tab, Add to Reading List, Copy and Share…Chose Copy!
- Now close the Safari app and head on over to your Podcast app
- Select Library
- Select Shows
- Select Edit on the top right
- Select Add a Podcast by URL…
- A small white box will appear. Now ever so slightly press the screen over the box and your phone will give you the Paste prompt. Press it and select Subscribe.
- Give it a few minutes and select Done on the top right
- Now just Select the Expanded Perspectives Logo in Red and click Available episodes and they should all appear.
We realize that this a lot of steps, but once completed you will never have to perform these steps again. Simply refresh the page every now and then and new episodes will appear. Also, as far the the whole barely touching the screen instead of just pressing the screen, well you can blame Apple Inc. for that fun feature!
Android
Here are the steps you need to perform in order to listen to Expanded Perspectives Elite using an Android phone! First off iPhones come with a Podcast app already built in but Androids do not. So you will first need to head on over to the Google Play store and download a Podcast app that allows unique RSS feeds. This sounds more complicated than it really is. I would suggest an app called “Podcast Addict”. It’s 100% free. Find it and download it first. Once you have that installed perform the following steps.
- Using your Android phone go to your Google or Google Chrome app and search up the shows website.
- Once there, scroll down and find the Elite tab and select it.
If done correctly your phone will give you a few options like Open in new Chrome tab, Open in incognito tab, Copy link address, Copy link text, Download link and Share link. Select Copy Link Address.
- Now close the Google or Google Chrome app and head on over to your Podcast Addict app
- Select the app and you will see several icons on the top. Find the one that looks like a + emblem with a circle around it. Press it.
- Now you will see more icons. Find the one on the left that says RSS. Press it and a new window will pop up and the copied feed should already be pasted in the spot that says Rss feed URL. Press Add
- Now all of the episodes should appear for you to download and listen.
We realize that this a lot of steps, but once completed you will never have to perform these steps again. Simply refresh the page every now and then and new episodes will appear. Also, as far the whole barely touching the screen instead of just pressing the screen, well you can blame Android for that fun feature!

I Don’t Have or Like iTunes. What Other Ways Can I Listen?
iTunes is not for everyone. If you are one of those folks who can’t stand it, there are several other ways to listen to our show.
1) At our website, which in a lot of ways is one of the best places to listen because there is always extra supporting content there and a great blog.
2) Via the Stitcher app and website, which is a great podcast management app that has a particularly strong similar content recommendation algorithm.
3) Via the TuneIn app or website, which is another great podcast management app that works across multiple platforms as well.
4) Via pretty much any podcast aggregation app you can find on your iOS or Android device including but not limited to ‘Podcasts’, Podcast Addict, Podcatcher and others.
I’m Having Problems Downloading your Show.
There are a whole lot of things that can stand between our show and your ears, and while we can’t know them all, we can tell you some of the most common issues.
Generally our feed, which is where all of our shows are hosted and distributed to various platforms, is ultra-reliable. It is hosted by Libsyn, one of the longest running podcast syndication services out there. This means the odds that something is wrong on that end of the spectrum are very, very low.
However, many other roadblocks can present themselves. iTunes is a bit of a quirky service itself. So if you’re using iTunes to find, listen, or subscribe to us, keep in mind that it is a little shaky at times. Many times if you’re having download issues with your ‘Podcasts’ app on your mobile device, the quickest fix is often to unsubscribe to us, delete the old shows and resubscribe. Upon doing this, 90% of the time, you’ll get all of the shows you either couldn’t access, or wouldn’t download completely for some unknown reason.
Let’s not forget that iOS and other mobile OS’s have a tendency to be less than reliable themselves these days.
In a worst case scenario, you can almost always listen right here on our website where there’s more content to take in anyway, and our website is mobile friendly.
If you’ve tried all these things and are still having an issue, please contact us and we’ll do anything we can to help you get our content into your brainpan.
