Catching up on past episodes and got a couple of points: Wisconsin has a large population of black bears; my brother is a hear-hunting guide in the Tripoli area. I called my mother, who ran a tavern for years just outside the Tripoli village limit to tell her about your story. One of the county’s snowmobile trails ran on her property past the bar – she told me a few years back a couple of her neighbors came in to the bar and told her they saw a Bigfoot standing in the woods behind her place just off of the trail. She said they had not been drinking, but that she kind of laughed it off. I’ve been on all the roads around Tripoli and will, the next time I visit there, pay way more attention to the edges of the woods.
