On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys talk about Antarctica is home to one of the most unique natural ecosystems in the world: subglacial lakes, which are massive pockets of warm, fresh water that are sealed in ice. They exist beneath the continent’s many, massive glaciers. The largest is Lake Vostok, which scientists say is over 4,800 square miles of water, and could contain life forms never before seen by humans. Researchers said last week that they may have just discovered another such lake, almost as vast as Vostok. Then, A woman in southern Vancouver claims she was abducted by a “Nordic-type alien” and that he experimented on her. Then, Carbon dioxide emissions from industrial society have driven a huge growth in trees and other plants. A new study says that if the extra green leaves prompted by rising CO2 levels were laid in a carpet, it would cover twice the continental USA. Climate sceptics argue the findings show that the extra CO2 is actually benefiting the planet. After the break Kyle and Cam talk about some strange UFO and Humanoid encounters. Thanks for listening to Expanded Perspectives Elite. Have a great weekend and we will talk to you on Monday!
