Whistling Spirits

Whistling Spirits

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start off talking about how new research published in the Journal of Archaeological Science by a team led by paleoanthropologist April Nowell of the University of Victoria reveals surprisingly sophisticated adaptations by early humans living 250,000 years ago in a former oasis near Azraq, Jordan. Then, ancient Romans used magical inscriptions to bring vengeance on enemies, unrequited lovers, bad neighbours and relatives. Archaeologists have unearthed the rare finds of these curses at the Viminacium site in the eastern region of Serbia, in the former Roman province of Moesia Superior. These curse tablets, known as tabella defixionis in Latin, have inscriptions which read, “Let all forces and demons help that…” Some of the artefacts are written in ancient Greek and also in indecipherable languages and unknown symbols, whose meaning is lost today. Then, a Missouri man says his Tesla helped saved his life by driving him to the hospital during a life-threatening emergency. Then, multiple people in Tennessee claim to have seen an unknown four legged creature with a human like face. After the break Cam brings up a recent strange event that happened to his son while recently hunting and how it is very similar to other whistling spirits throughout the world. Thanks for listening to Expanded Perspectives Elite!
