Going Postal
This week on Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start the show off talking about how thousand year old trees have become the new Ivory trade. Global timber theft has grown into a “rapidly escalating environmental crime wave” according to a 2012 report by the United Nations Environmental Program (UNEP) and Interpol, titled Green Carbon, Black Trade. The report estimates that somewhere between 15 to 30 per cent of the global timber trade is conducted through the black market and linked to organized crime outfits that wouldn’t balk at trading weapons or humans. Now with armed “timber cartels” as part of their operation, these groups have identified profit in the immense value of ancient nature. Then, a bag that was used by Neil Armstrong to collect rocks from the surface of the moon in 1969 will go up for public auction in New York on July 20. It is expected to fetch $4 million or more.
Then, Lon Strickler over at Phantoms and Monsters posted a story that was sent to him recently about a guy, who’s grandfather was killed by a dogman on their family farm back in 1977. Then, 50 years of collected UFO data and activity held by the British Ministry of Defence (MoD) is being published after the June election next month. The secret dossier will reveal 18 documents held back after the information needed to be re-examined by the MoD. After the break, Kyle brings up the horrifying story of Patrick Henry Sherrill. The postman that went crazy and killed several co-workers. Since that day the term “Going Postal” has made it’s was into the mainstream vernacular. All of this and more on Expanded Perspectives Elite!
