Haunted Pt.2

Haunted Pt.2

On this episode of Expanded Perspectives Elite the guys start the show off talking about UFO that was spotted cloaking itself. The incident, listed on the database as a CE-2, happened at around midnight on May 10, 2004 when an entire Army Special Forces unit saw an unknown spherical shaped object through night vision goggles while on security duty in Kabul, Afghanistan. Then, mysterious sand mounds in north-eastern Australia, thought by many to be part of the natural landscape, are actually the burial sites of ancient indigenous people, research has found. Archaeologists have been investigating a region of the Cape York peninsula in northern Queensland state where hundreds of mounds – some of which measure up to four metres high – are dotted across a remote 60km stretch of coastline near the indigenous community of Mapoon. Using ground penetrating radar (GPR) and other advanced techniques, the team examined 11 of the mounds and discovered that many of them contained human remains and had been built on top of sites where intense fires once burnt. Various objects such as spears, coral and stones were also detected inside the mounds. The findings cast new light on the ancient burial practices of Australia’s native people, indicating that they had far more complex burial practices than previously thought.

After the break Cam and Kyle continue their conversation with Danny Robins. Danny is an experienced comedy writer. He created the hugely successful BAFTA-nominated and RTS Award-winning BBC series Young Dracula, the cult BBC 2 seriesWe Are History and BBC1 Comedy Playhouse sitcom Monks. He has worked on a host of other shows, most recently writing on Series 2 of Comedy Central sitcom I Live With Models, Sky 1’s Trollied and BBC3’s upcoming A Brief History of Tim.

Currently, he has created, written and appeared in new sitcom The Cold Swedish Winter (“A sweet Richard Curtis-ish delight: the kind of thing you could imagine transferring effortlessly to TV” – The Guardian).

His stage play of Rudy’s Rare Records for Birmingham Rep and Hackney Empire was a critically-lauded sell out success (“A stonking hit” – The Guardian). He is currently writing a new play for a major West End producer.
